About the Library
History of FUTB Library
The Federal University of Technology Babura (FUTB) Library was established in 2022 to support teaching, learning, and research at the university, which is dedicated to advancing engineering, science, and technology through education, research, and innovation. The university itself is one of four institutions founded in the second quarter of 2021 by the Federal Government of Nigeria to expand access to higher education and improve its quality nationwide. The library plays a vital role in achieving these goals by training skilled graduates, facilitating research, and contributing to national development through technological solutions and collaboration with industry partners.
Mission
To actively support teaching, learning, and research by providing access to relevant and up-to-date information resources, fostering academic inquiry, and equipping students and researchers with the skills to address context-specific problems. The library is committed to empowering the university community to contribute meaningfully to national development and the global knowledge ecosystem.
Vision
To become a leading academic library recognized for promoting research, innovation, and problem-solving through strategic access to knowledge.
